Clear Skies Group has announced the delivery of 25 units of its new, proprietary Solar Power Supply (SPS) to a New Jersey-based vehicle monitoring company. With a charging period of only two days of sunlight, the SPS will power sensitive electronic data monitoring devices for up to 14 days without sunshine.

"The customer had very specific power requirements that necessitated an extremely stable and accurate power supply," said Ezra Green, Chairman and CEO of Clear Skies Solar (CSS). "Because of our advanced, internal research and development department, Clear Skies Solar was able to meet the client's needs by designing and constructing the Solar Power Supply specifically for the company's unique purposes."

The proprietary Solar Power Supply circuitry and solar modules are rated for outdoor use and will last for 25 years or more.

After initial client field tests yielded positive results, Clear Skies Solar delivered the first order of 25 units on February 11, 2008. CSS anticipates supplying the client with 500-1000 units or more annually to match the demand stimulated by this company's growing customer base.

Since beginning operations in 2005, Clear Skies Solar has become a leading solar integrator and developer of high- and medium-tech products designed specifically for the renewable energy business. Today, CSS is the one-stop-shopping source for commercial solar project development and solar technologies.

"Clear Skies Solar saw an opportunity other companies did not," said Green. "We chose to undertake the project to demonstrate our competitiveness and profitability in the development arena and to maintain our reputation as solution providers. The successful implementation of SPS illustrates our commitment to building alternative energy sources, and we look forward to our continuing relationship with this client."

The Solar Effect Boosts The European Inverters Market
London, UK (SPX) Mar 05, 2008
The renewable energy boom across Europe has opened up an unprecedented market for solar energy-based inverters. An indispensable component of photovoltaic (PV) power systems, inverters typically convert direct current (DC) generated via PV modules from sunlight to alternating current (AC) for grid-connected systems. They are often used on boats, caravans and in remote areas where a mains supply is required and typical applications include: televisions, computers, electrical appliances, power tools.
