Sunrise Solar Explores Technology Acquisition

Sunrise Solar has announced that it has met with a major U.S. research university and initiated discussions regarding the acquisition of new, leading edge solar technology.

"We are looking for opportunities to expand on our project base by acquiring proprietary new technologies that have been patented by major universities," noted Eddie Austin, Chairman and CEO of Sunrise Solar Corp.

With a renewed emphasis on alternative energy resources coming from the administration in Washington, the opportunity to make a difference with new technology is increased.

On January 26th President Obama stated at the White House: "America's dependence on oil is one of the most serious threats that our nation has faced. It bankrolls dictators, pays for nuclear proliferation, and funds both sides of our struggle against terrorism. It puts the American people at the mercy of shifting gas prices, stifles innovation and sets back our ability to compete."

"We expect companies like SSLR, which are developing new alternative energy resources, to help lead America out of this recession," concluded Austin.

The United Sates has set a goal to double energy production from natural sources within three years. Industries worldwide now realize that solar power can reduce operating costs and provide increased energy security during times of energy volatility and economic uncertainty. Regardless of the economy or oil prices, the sun will still shine.
