Trina Solar Signs Sales Contract With Enipower In Italy

Trina Solar has entered into an agreement with the Italian company EniPower. This contract is the result of a letter of intent signed in April 2007 by Trina Solar's CEO, Mr. Jifan Gao, and EniPower's CEO, Mr. Enrico Grigesi. Both parties agreed then to establish a long term business relationship where among others Trina Solar would supply EniPower with high quality PV modules. A 1MW contract has been already signed with an option of an additional 5MW for the rest of the contract period.

"Trina Solar is pleased to have entered into this important agreement with EniPower and to continue expanding the brand in the Italian market," remarked Mr. Arturo Herrero, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing of Trina Solar.

"The solid background of EniPower as a pioneer in the power industry together with Trina Solar's high quality modules and experience in the PV sector will contribute to the development of the Italian PV industry.''

This agreement is an important milestone for Trina Solar as it continues to strengthen its brand in Italy's growing PV market. Recent regulations to promote solar PV installations in Italy make Italy one of the most attractive markets in the solar PV industry today.

Students bask in sun-powered homes contest

American, Canadian and European university students battle for architectural and engineering supremacy in Washington this month in a contest of homes whose lights, refrigerators and televisions must be powered by solar energy.
