India inaugurated Azure Power's 2-megawatt photovoltaic plant in the state of Punjab, the first privately owned, utility-scale power plant on the Asian subcontinent. Some 700 people in the Canadian province of Ontario have been approved to install rooftop solar panels to feed electricity back into the power grid.
