Joint Venture Secures Loan For Valle 1 And Valle 2 Thermal Solar Plants

Torresol Energy, a joint venture between Masdar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mubadala Development Company, and SENER, a leading international multidiscipline engineering company, with offices in Abu Dhabi, has secured US$760 million project finance loans for the construction of twin Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants, Valle 1 and Valle 2, in Andaluc�a, Spain. India plans to install 20 million solar lights and 20 million square meters of solar thermal panels to generate 20,000 megawatts by 2022 as part of its National Solar Mission, formally launched Monday.
