Company Launches Moon Dust Pens Website

What sets Moon Dust Pens apart from all other space themed souvenirs is that encapsulated inside each unique pen is JSC-1A, a lunar regolith simulant which replicates the chemical composition, mineralogy, particle size, and properties of lunar mare soil.

As difficult as it is to believe, July 20, 2009 will mark the 40th Anniversary of man's greatest achievement, the Apollo 11 Lunar landing. This anniversary will be a major highlight of NASA's year long 50th Anniversary celebration.

To help commemorate these events, W.I.S.E. Retail Solutions, Inc., has introduced never seen before gift packages that feature Moon Dust Pens APOLLO 11 - 40TH and Gold Plated NASA 50th Anniversary Commemorative Collectible Editions.

"These exclusive gift packages are perfect for the space buff, astronomer, patriot, student or anyone who appreciates a one-of-a-kind conversation piece", said Rich Butler, entrepreneur, businessman and President of W.I.S.E. Retail Solutions, Inc. "Nowhere on earth can you find such a unique and inspirational gift!"

The highlight of each package is a Moon Dust Pen which features a handcrafted, individually hand painted miniature Apollo 11 Astronaut figurine against a backdrop of deep space and the American flag, capturing an historic event from nearly 40 years ago - man's first walk on the moon.

Moon Dust Pens have already received praise from two rather high profile individuals who were closely associated with the Apollo program. Retired Apollo Flight Director "Gene" Kranz said, "The Moon Dust Pen is a fitting reminder of the proud day we planted an American flag on the moon...in the years to come, it will be a valued collector's item".

And Jack Kinzler - Ret. NASA Chief of Tech. Services Div. and the Designer of the Apollo 11 American Flag that was deployed on the moon, said, "Moon Dust Pens make wonderful gifts and are a great way to celebrate two important events in the history of our country."

What sets Moon Dust Pens apart from all other space themed souvenirs? Butler says that "encapsulated inside each unique pen is JSC-1A, a lunar regolith simulant which replicates the chemical composition, mineralogy, particle size, and properties of lunar mare soil. This simulant has been developed to support NASA's future exploration and research of the lunar surface."

"Interestingly enough", Butler goes on to say, "It is mined from a volcanic ash deposit near Flagstaff, Arizona, and commercially transformed into "moon dust" just outside of Dallas, Texas."

"The pens took nearly two years to develop", said Butler, "there was nothing quite like it. We wanted to develop something unique to commemorate man's greatest achievement - the Apollo 11 Lunar Landing, while also paying tribute to NASA's 50 years of space exploration. We believe we have achieved our goal."

Both versions of Moon Dust Pens are now for sale in the U.S., just in time for the holiday buying season, as part of handsome gift packages that may be purchased on line at www.moondustpen.com .

Aside from the educational, historical, and inspirational attributes of Moon Dust Pens, Butler points out that there is one additional benefit. "A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each pen package will be donated to the Manned Space Flight Education Foundation for space, science and math educational programs for our children and our future."
