Dymon Power Corporation (Dymon) has selected Ontario Solar Provider (OSP) as project manager for the development, procurement, design, installation and financing of its eight rooftop solar PV Projects in Ottawa, Ontario.

The completed projects will total about 2.7 MW in installed capacity, sufficient to generate clean electricity for nearly 1,000 homes during peak times when the province's power demand is high.

The solar installations will save approximately 20,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, or the equivalent of taking more than 3,000 cars off the road. Construction of Dymon's rooftop solar PV projects will commence in April 2011.

Dymon has announced that it had concluded its selection process for the project management of its portfolio of solar PV projects after reviewing and meeting with more than 30 parties.

Mr. Glen Luckman, CEO of Dymon described the selection process as diligent and extensive. "OSP stood out from the competition due its extensive knowledge of the rooftop solar PV market".

Mr. Luckman further stated that "at the end of the day we were very impressed with OSP's track record and understanding of the industry."

Sebastian Seyfarth, OSP's President, described Dymon as "the perfect partner". Mr. Seyfarth explained that OSP has been "very impressed with Dymon's understanding of solar PV and its assertive approach". OSP's CEO, Christian Wentzel, explained that "OSP was thrilled to be partnering with Mr. Luckman and his team on these projects. Dymon has the skill and resources necessary to get these projects done."

The eight projects have been awarded contracts under Ontario's Feed-in Tariff (FIT) program, which was established by the province's Green Energy Act. The projects vary in size from 100kW to 500 kW of installed AC capacity.
