Ten years after its founding, CIS thin-film pioneer Sulfurcell is breaking new ground in solar construction under its new corporate name, Soltecture. At Intersolar Europe, the company is presenting standardized system solutions allowing intelligent integration of high performance and visual appeal in its CIS thin-film modules.

Residential rooftop panels, industrial building systems, facade usage: all applications are high-performing, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to install. As reflected in its new corporate name, Soltecture reconfirms its own high standard for maximum performance in solar energy, technology, and architecture.

Flat roof system
Aerodynamic lightweight with a powerful output:The new flat roof system from Soltecture enables previously unusable lightweight roofs with low load bearing capacities to be utilized for photovoltaic systems. With 46 kWp per 10,000 ft", it is extremely powerful and, because it is not restricted by the direction in which the building is oriented, it can be oriented in a southerly direction without any additional expenditure. The system weighs less than 2.85 lbs/ft".

The design was optimized by means of intensive tests in a wind tunnel to enable the necessary ballast to be reduced to a minimum without reducing the stability. Because it is not necessary to penetrate the roof surface in order to fix the structure, the PV system can also be used on roofs covered in bituminous sheeting, gravel or roof membranes.

Compared with other flat roof systems on the market, the solution from Soltecture provides the most prefabrication. The system can be installed on the roof without tools and in just a few easy steps. This means that considerably less effort is required for the installation than with conventional systems that first of all require a substructure to be constructed in order to screw down the modules.

Roof-mounted system: Quickly and efficiently to your desired solution:SOL-30, the high-end mounting system for framed Soltecture solar modules, enables tool-free and therefore quick and cost-effective installation on any roof: the modules are not screwed but inserted in special horizontal profiles that ensure excellent rear ventilation and removal of snow.

In addition, the connection with the horizontal profiles ensures tension-free mounting of the individual modules. This enables the modules to unleash their full performance capabilities and impress through high yields and long service life, which in turn considerably increases the investment security.

In addition to its functional properties, SOL-30 also meets the highest aesthetic demands: combined with the black corrosion-resistant aluminum in the visible part of the system (cover strips and end caps), a particularly attractive, lasting impression is created. The patented process makes it easy to expand the system and we've even thought about security: SOL-30 also comes supplied with the SOL GUARD theft protection system.

SOLutions
Planning everywhere and at any time:With SOLutions, Soltecture offers planners and installers a free, Internet-based planning tool that is always available. This enables every customer wish to be individually, quickly, and precisely planned - from any computer with an Internet connection, whether at your desk or on site by the customer. The software covers the system planning, comprehensive inverter configuration, and detailed documentation of the entire project.

The planning possibilities provided by SOLutions range from the structural calculation of wind and snow loads to DIN 1055 to the consideration of spatial impediments such as windows or dormers. To enable customers to gain an impression of their solar power system as soon as possible, the tool even directly creates a professional presentation of the new roof appearance.

The system calculates the material demand and all project necessary units, provides suggestions for interconnection, creates a string-plan, and a circuit diagram. In addition, SOLutions puts together all important documents for the project, such as inspection documents, EVU-application, all test certificates, and system images, among others. This will allow for precise generation of all requests, proposals, and orders.

Peak performance with CIGSe: A lightweight with maximum efficiency:Soltecture reaches worldwide peak results with thin-film solar modules based on CIGSe semiconductors (Copper, Indium, Gallium, and Selenium). The best modules currently in production attain a module efficiency of 13.0% based on aperture area, and 12% based on total module area.

With CIGSe, Soltecture taps into the highest efficiency potential in the realm of thin-film production. In the coming ten to sixteen months, module-efficiency will be increased to more than 14%. Production yields will increase to over 90%. The basis for this success is a new, high-efficiency production process that impressively reconfirms Soltecture's position as one of the leading industrial players in the field of CIS Photovoltaics.

Our production process, based exclusively in Germany, is carried out to meet the standards set by the semiconductor industry. This allows Soltecture to guarantee its customers a product warranty of ten years and a twenty-five-year performance warranty.
