St. Louis based Microgrid Solar is proud to announce the first solar installation in conjunction with the City's Set the PACE St. Louis (PACE) program. PACE, or "Property Assessed Clean Energy", is a City of St. Louis program administered by Energy Equity Funding, LLC, and financed by PNC Bank.

The program offers low cost financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy upgrades to the City of St. St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay commented, "When I unveiled the City's first Sustainability Plan this January, I said then, everyone can do something. And today, we are seeing Microgrid and Four Muddy Paws doing their part to reduce their carbon footprints by capitalizing on sunshine as a power source."

Slay added, "Nearly 80 percent of the City's greenhouse gas emissions come from buildings, and the vast majority of those buildings are owned by the private sector. So, it's important to make these existing buildings more energy efficient and to develop cleaner sources of energy on both new and existing buildings so that we can The program's first installation is a rooftop array at the Four Muddy Paws Lafayette Square location.

Jeff Jensen, co-owner of Four Muddy Paws, said, "We're very excited to realize our goal of adding a solar system to our St. Louis shop. We've recycled our building from a turn- of-the century edifice to a modern healthy pet market, and the addition of solar certainly takes us into the 21st century.
