Moscow extended a federal project on the development of Russian cosmodromes, which was set to expire in 2015, for one year, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

The main parameters of the Federal Space Program were determined during a meeting held by Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier in the day, Peskov said.

"It was also decided to extend for a year the expiring in 2015 federal Russian cosmodromes program, in order to develop next year a new federal program designed until 2025," Peskov added.

According to the spokesman, "issues related to the financial rehabilitation" of the Russian Space Agency were discussed during the meeting.

Senior officials, such as Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Acting Head of the Federal Space Agency Alexander Ivanov and Kremlin Chief of Staff Sergei Ivanov took part in the meeting.
