Neuraspace launches new tiers for enhanced space traffic management

Neuraspace, a pioneer in space traffic management, has introduced SYNC, a complimentary version of its comprehensive STM platform, alongside the subscription-based PRO tier. Both offerings are structured as software-as-a-service (SaaS), boasting a novel real-time and cooperative exchange among satellite operators. This facilitates enhanced management of space traffic operations and instantaneous communication regarding potential collision risks.

The introduction of automatically activated chat rooms for discussing crucial conjunctions aids operators in making more informed decisions, refining manoeuvre planning, and reducing the costs associated with mission interruptions. The centralized dashboard promotes transparent and efficient international cooperation, essential for advancing space traffic safety. Real-time information sharing also plays a pivotal role in minimizing collision risks and preventing accidental crashes and debris formation.

Both the SYNC and PRO tiers continue to provide functionalities such as satellite tracking and monitoring, automated alerts for conjunctions, and streamlined operational procedures. These automated systems for managing high-risk conjunctions are designed to conserve time and effort, potentially reducing the manual screening workload by up to 80%.

The PRO tier further enhances its offerings with features like collision avoidance manoeuvre suggestions, detailed conjunction analysis leveraging Neuraspace's proprietary machine learning predictions, manoeuvre management, and automated screenings, along with custom integration of GNSS (global navigation satellite system). This integration negates the necessity for operators to juggle multiple systems, allowing for a more integrated approach to satellite management.

Bryan Dean, CEO of Dragonfly Aerospace, expressed his satisfaction with the PRO tier, noting its substantial contribution to the safety, efficiency, and longevity of their satellite, EOS SAT-1. He highlighted the platform's advanced AI and ML capabilities that provide timely and precise collision avoidance suggestions and thorough conjunction analyses.

Chiara Manfletti, CEO of Neuraspace, emphasized the growing need for efficient and unified collaboration platforms as space becomes more congested. "With SYNC and PRO, we are equipping operators with transformative tools that promote transparency and collective action, streamline workflows, and reduce disruption risks," Manfletti stated. She also noted the critical role of such platforms in ensuring the long-term prosperity and sustainability of space activities.

Prominent features of SYNC and PRO tiers include:

+ Immediate chat capabilities for direct coordination among operators

+ Automated chat room creation during high-risk conjunction scenarios

+ Precise satellite positioning data

+ Automated conjunction filtering and analysis upon data arrival

+ Customizable notification settings for collision alerts

Knot theory aids in mapping efficient space routes
London, UK (SPX) Apr 18, 2024
Scientists at the University of Surrey have devised a method to chart the most efficient routes for spacecraft, mirroring the way drivers use sat-nav to navigate on Earth. This new technique harnesses mathematics to outline potential paths from one orbit to another, sidestepping the need for extensive computational resources or trial-and-error approaches. Danny Owen, from the Surrey Space Centre, developed the method. He explains, "Traditionally, plotting a course in space could be haphazard, rely ... read more
