Portable Solar Technology To Receive 600,000th US Design Patent![]() Workman was inspired to develop the portable energy technology during a trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Located in central Africa, access to reliable electrical power is nonexistent in most places. The GoBe technology is the first step in making the DRC, and eventually the planet, a better place by creating a new way of supplying reliable and portable solar energy. |
The patent was awarded for the development of state-of-the-art technology that captures and utilizes solar energy in a portable, all-in-one product called GoBe.
Without the need for a standard power grid, the system features an integrated charge controller, power inverter, variable AC, DC and USB input/outputs, simple controls and indicators, and built-in safety features, making it the ideal solution for unconventional power needs.
"We are humbled by this recognition from the USPTO for technology design," said Robert Workman, president and chief executive officer, GOAL0. "Our company is proud to play a role in offering dependable access to renewable power in even the most remote places on earth."

"We are delivering innovative renewable power solutions that will change the way people live," said Workman. "This technology can be used anywhere, anytime and by anyone. We hope that this patent is just the beginning."
In conjunction with the incorporation of GOAL0, Workman also established TIFIE (Teaching Individuals and Families Independence Through Enterprise) Humanitarian, a non-profit organization working to supply and teach the use of renewable solar energy technologies to underserved communities globally.
