Camarillo CA (SPX) Mar 16, 2011 Power-One has announced it has received CSA-UL1741 approval for its AURORA three-phase string inverter for the United States and Canadian market places. Power-One's AURORA Trio, 10 and 12kW string inverters have a number of differentiating features, including two functionally independent MPPT inputs, a wide input voltage range, convection cooling, disconnect switches and a NEMA-4X enclosure. "This product provides the greatest design flexibility, productivity, and reliability," said Paolo Casini, Power-One's Vice President for Product Marketing. "Designed for commercial usage, the three-phase inverter is highly unique in its ability to optimize the performance of the PV plant. This very same characteristic has made the Power-One three-phase string inverter the world's most commonly used inverter in its category." Kent Sheldon, Vice President Sales, North America, said, "This product will make a huge difference to the North American RE market. Power-One's three-phase inverter has made a significant impact in Europe since its launch two years ago. It is the best-in-class product in Europe and will prove to be the same in North America." In 2010, the European version of Power-One's AURORA three-phase inverter received an A+ approval rating from the independent industry reviewer Photon Laboratory Magazine. Power-One is currently the world's second largest manufacture of solar power inverters. With manufacturing centers in three continents, Power-One and its AURORA brand of solar and wind power inverters, ranging from 2kW to 2.5MW, offer best-in class product performance and reliability along with a global customer care package.
