Raytheon Acquires Telemus Solutions

Raytheon IIS had 2007 annual revenues of approximately $2.7 billion.

Raytheon has acquired Telemus Solutions, a provider of Information security, intelligence and technical services to defense, intelligence and other federal customers.

Based in Falls Church, Va., Telemus delivers customized solutions in infrastructure protection, engineering, research and analysis that help customers detect, defer, and delay potential security threats.

"This acquisition represents Raytheon's latest step in building an end-to-end information security offering to address our customers' most critical security needs," said Michael D. Keebaugh, president, Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems.

"The purchase of Telemus underscores Raytheon's continued focus on the emerging cyber security market and demonstrates our leadership in providing technologies that solve our customers' most complex information security challenges."

Venezuela may purchase man-portable air defense systems, Il-76 transport planes and T-90 tanks from Russian in the near future, a Russian political analyst said Thursday.
