Rivada Space Networks has announced the launch of the OuterNET, its groundbreaking low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite constellation designed to deliver the first-ever single, global, and omnipresent communications network. Comprising 600 satellites, the OuterNET constellation promises unparalleled global coverage, supported by end-to-end intersatellite laser links that form a cohesive global mesh network in the void of space. Leveraging Rivada's high-priority Ka Band filings, the system facilitates ground-to-space communication, with each satellite boasting four high-speed optical intersatellite links and sophisticated routing technology to ensure data is transmitted securely and efficiently within the network.
