The new theme park SPACE World in the frame of the international aerospace supply fair, AIRTEC from November 2 - 4, 2010, Exhibition Centre Frank-furt/Main, presents itself as a sophisticated international meeting-place for the space industry, its technologies and applications. Under the theme "From vision to commercial applications" the SPACE World theme park offers an innovative combination of an international conference, exhibition and B2B-meetings.

Among the exhibitors of Space World are institutions, universities and companies that provide satellite systems, components, testing systems and electronic com-ponents. Through the organized B2B-meetings and the international conference with high-class speakers, Space World also supports the use of space technolo-gies in other applications, such as automotive, agriculture, environment, civil pro-tection, renewable energies and others.

Renowned companies such as EADS Astrium, European Space Agency (ESA / ESOC), cesah GmbH Centrum for Satellite Navigation Hessen, Intespace (France) and CAEN (Italy) exhibit at the trade fair. Wurzburg University as well as International Space University Illkirch (France) present their new developments and projects at SPACE World 2010, too.

"Even within a billion dollar program the space industry requires the know-how of small and medium-sized enterprises", says Jocelyne Landeau-Constantin, Head of Communication Office, ESA / ESOC, Darmstadt. This concerns, for instance, innovations in simulation, calculation and materials. "ESA supports AIRTEC as a communication platform in order to find these companies and innovations."

The first innovative SPACE World Conference, from vision to commercial applications, is held with the kind support of the European Space Agency (ESA). The international conference with fifty lectures from nine nations covers fields such as space applications, aerospace technologies, moon and mars missions, International Space Station, space tourism as well as earth observation.

Chairman of the three-day SPACE World conference is Prof. Klaus Schilling from the University of Wurzburg. Thomas Reiter, Member of the Executive Board of the DLR in Cologne, and former ESA Astronaut, as well as Gaele Winters, ESA Director of Operations and Infrastructure and Head of the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, will hold a keynote.

Further keynotes are by Jean-Yves Le Gall (Arianespace), Dr. Rolf Densing (German Aerospace Center), Eckard Settelmeyer (EADS Astrium), Johann Friedrich Colsman (European Commission), Dr. Fritz Merkle (OHB-Systems), and Christophe Wilhelm (Thales Alenia Space).

In addition to SPACE World, AIRTEC also organizes HELI World and UAV World, and for the fifth time the international conference "Supply on the Wings". As a result, AIRTEC 2010 offers a variety of topics as never before.

AIRTEC is the international trade fair for the entire aerospace supply chain and covers all areas from design, engineering, testing and simulation to materials, production, components and systems, electronics, sensor system up to lifecycle support. It is an independent international communication-, competence-, and contact-platform.

AIRTEC 2010 has developed into a world top supply chain management and technology event by its organized B2B-meetings. It shows new technologies, innovations and trends in a focused way and gives a varied over-view of the entire international aerospace supply industry.

With its special atmosphere in the modern exhibition hall 11 and the integrated B2B-meetings, AIRTEC 2010 expresses a special business character for inten-sive conversations and discussions on existing and new projects. By its specific profile, it clearly differs from the traditional airshows.
