Sanyo Leaves America and ABC Solar Launches its Japan Solar Lease Fund

In a huge twist of fate, two solar players share a future in the Japanese solar market. Sanyo is leaving America because in Japan the retail price for solar is 10 bucks a watt where in the states it is 5 bucks a watt installed. ABC Solar Japan is launching in Japan because it is an unbelievable 10 bucks a watt! ABC Solar Japan wonders out loud if Sanyo will quit this Japanese market too after the ABC Solar Japan Lease changes the market forever.

You see, last year 265,000 solar systems of about 5KW each were sold and installed in Japan. This year this number is expected to rise again. All of the 265,000 systems were sold for cash. No leases. The ABC Solar Japan Lease plans to create a new wave of competitors for Sanyo (Panasonic) and other established Japanese market players.

The ABC Solar Japan team has a pedigree in Japanese market innovation in that we started the first commercial Internet company in Japan in 1991. When we started less than 1000 people were online the net and all of those were in schools and universities.

The ABC Solar Japan management team grew its internet user base to almost 1 million Japanese customers before selling the business in 2000. After a few years, the founders bought back the assets, in particular the domain name Japan.co.jp. www.Japan.co.jp will become the home of ABC Solar Japan.

Our strategy during the internet years was to share our information and grow our competitors. It worked as many of today's Internet giants in Japan came to hear our speeches or made special visits to our headquarters in Roppongi, Tokyo.

Our strategy for ABC Solar Japan is the same. We are going to grow our competitors. We are going to bring creativity back. The way we will beat the Japanese giants is to share our knowledge. This includes solar system design, solar sales and, most importantly, customer service.

Our key advantage is that over the last 12 years in America ABC Solar has built a world-class web-based Solar Integrators Management System. Our solar design calculators are simply the most powerful solar design tools available. All of our tools will be made available free in Japan to both our competitors, new and old. So, keep an eye on www.Japan.co.jp.

The ABC Solar Japan Lease is designed with the benefit of the customer in mind. Although our bankers want to grab more and more, we defend our clients. Our mission is to install solar panels and make a fair profit.

In America ABC Solar has been critical of aggressive solar leases and has preferred to guide clients to winning financial solutions for going solar. Now 80% systems sold in America are done by solar leases. We see the ABC Solar Japan Lease as having market making capabilities.
