The Solar Business of Schneider Electric enters the Japanese mega solar market with an integrated solution based on our market leading Conext Core XC inverters, adapted to meet the local requirements. First projects have already been won in the Hyogo Prefecture and will be installed over the autumn.

Schneider Electric's track record in solar energy has earned the trust of customers across Europe, North America, and Asia. As a specialist in energy management, the company supports a wide variety of mega solar photovoltaic projects and contributes its technological expertise in engineering, project design and manufacturing of the electrical equipment.

At the heart of the system design and equipment is an innovative and localized solution package designed and built by Schneider Electric, a pre-configured Solar Power Conversion station, the PV Box.

The PV Box is a factory integrated, tested and validated plug and play power conversion system designed specifically for the Japanese environment and weather conditions. The PV Box contains two Conext Core XC 680 inverters, a DC combiner box, a step-up transformer, medium voltage switchgear and other accessories and is adapted to meet the local standards.

This enables customers to reduce construction lead times, lower the costs of transportation, installation and commissioning and enhance uptime thanks to qualified and reliable design.

"The industry recognizes truly bankable suppliers" says Mr Serge Goldenberg, President of Schneider Electric Japan.

"We are honored that Schneider Electric has been distinguished by GTM Research as a leading competitive PV equipment supplier. Our clients and their financing banks need that security. In addition, with our global presence and competencies in solar power conversion, we have applied this knowledge to tailor our locally manufactured PV Box to suit the Japanese market. Its cost competitiveness and the best-in-class efficiency of our Conext Core XC inverters, with up to 98.9% peak efficiency, made our solution package a natural choice."

The expertise of a trusted supplier
With the solar market unraveling a rapid wave of bankruptcies and consolidations, the industry is increasingly concerned about securing the long-term future of installations. Peace of mind is key and not every solar PV company today can offer the assurance that spare parts, service and technical support will be continually available over the 20 year life of a solar installation.

Schneider Electric provides bankable photovoltaic solutions for any size installation. Together with local support from a global organization with presence in over 100 countries, 177 years of experience, and best-in-class manufacturing, we can provide real bankability to our customers worldwide.
