Tele Atlas Logistics To Power Micronet Commercial Routing And Navigation

Tele Atlas and Micronet have announced that Micronet will utilize Tele Atlas Logistics in its fully autonomous mobile based routing and navigation system providing a commercial navigation solution specifically designed for the trucking and transportation industries.

Micronet's enhanced WinCE based Net960-CE series of MDTs are available in multiple configurations and are all designed to support a wide range of applications and services geared to optimize fleet and MRM operations. The Net960-CE will feature Tele Atlas Logistics, a comprehensive digital map database which combines commercial fleet routing attributes and restrictions with coast-to-coast coverage of interstate highways, access roads, state highways and local roads for seamless, connected routing.

Based on vehicle configuration, load and the routing method selected the system will generate the most efficient route and provide turn-by-turn instructions. The superior geocoding functionality, rich map display and truck-specific attributes help enable turn-by-turn navigation for commercial carriers.
