Trace wins major Army network contracts worth $373M

Trace Systems Inc., a prominent developer of tactical communications and satellite infrastructure, has landed a $352 million contract to support the U.S. Army's Project Manager Tactical Network (PM TN) through the Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) IV initiative. This substantial award highlights Trace's expanding role in enabling high-performance communications for military operations across the globe.

Under the VSAT IV program, Trace will be tasked with upgrading and sustaining the Army's A/N TSC-198 SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP) terminals. These systems are critical for delivering secure and agile satellite-based connectivity in high-demand operational settings. Trace's scope of work includes the design, fielding, and maintenance of adaptable VSAT platforms, as well as providing logistics and on-site technical support to ensure consistent mission readiness.

The $352 million VSAT IV award comes in addition to a $21 million Satellite Terminal Modernization contract and follows a favorable ruling from the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) regarding Trace's position in the Global Field Service Representative (FSR) contract. Together, these developments bring Trace's recent award total to $373 million and reinforce the company's strategic importance to the Army's modernization and operational agility.
