Escondido CA (SPX) Apr 08, 2009 enXco officially dedicated the Hall's Warehouse Solar Project marking the completion of development and construction of the 1.8 MW (DC) solar installation. The installation brings the total solar energy generation at Hall's to 3.2 MW (DC) making it New Jersey's largest private commercial roof-top solar system. The roof mounted fixed tilt solar array, developed and owned by enXco, consists of 20,184 First Solar panels and 2,190 UNI-SOLAR laminates installed at the 501 Kentile Road and 601 Kentile Road facilities. enXco will own and operate the system and supply the project's output to Hall's Corporation under a Power Purchase Agreement on a net-metering basis. Infinite Energy and Clean Energy Holdings co-developed the project with Vanguard Energy Partners, LLC as the installer. enXco Service Corporation will provide operations and maintenance services. "enXco is proud to partner with Hall's to bring this project to completion. Projects like this are critical to New Jersey's future energy plans and its commitment to renewable energy resources. We extend our gratitude to our New Jersey based partners who are essential to our project development team," stated Peter Solomon, director distributed generation solar for enXco. "Within the last 12 months, enXco has engaged in the development of nearly 5 MW of solar in New Jersey demonstrating the importance of this market area for us. We look forward to continuing our growth and helping the state to meet its renewable energy goals" William Jayne III, president and owner of Hall's along with brothers Bruce and Dale, said, "This installation furthers our goal to reduce our carbon footprint and allows us to save money through avoided energy costs and income from sale of generation." "The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities is proud to be part of such a significant project," said BPU President Jeanne M. Fox. "Hall's has demonstrated their support and commitment to the environment and to Governor Corzine's Energy Master Plan goals which calls for 30% of the state's electricity to come from renewable energy by 2020." "enXco's 1.8 MW solar installation on Hall's Warehouse roof is the largest project in PSE and G's solar loan program thus far and is a showcase for what can be accomplished with solar generation all over New Jersey," said Al Matos, PSE and G's vice president for renewables and energy solutions. "The commercial and industrial segment of our popular $105 million solar loan program is doing what it is supposed to do, bring solar to New Jersey. This month we're requesting our loan program be expanded so that more developers and customers can take advantage of its benefits easier."
